The Cake Show 2010

Ok, so I know that this post is a little late but I've been super busy with wedding/shower/birthday cakes...its been a busy month and a half! As some of you may know, I participated in Bonnie Gordons annual Cake Show in Toronto. I competed in the Mystery Cake Challange where three competitors were given 2 hours to decorate a cake not knowing what tools we were to be working with. It was very exciting...and nerve wracking! There was quite a large audience and judges sitting right in front of us. But after two hours I finished a black and white 4 tiered cake with red and black ribbon roses and ruffles. Not my best work but what can you expect in two hours! Anyway, it was enough to win! Yay!!!!
Here is the winning cake pictured above with Bonnie Gordon, me, Alexandria Pellegrino and Allyson Meredith. (the incredibly talented judges!)

A wonderful article about the success of the students of Bonnie Gordon School of Confectionary Arts. It was great to be included among some of the most talented cake designers in the GTA. Browse through some of the photos to see some great cake art!
