Something blue....

This was a gorgeous blue and silver wedding cake we made this summer. The little silver dragees caught the light and sparkled!

The Cake Show 2010

Ok, so I know that this post is a little late but I've been super busy with wedding/shower/birthday cakes...its been a busy month and a half! As some of you may know, I participated in Bonnie Gordons annual Cake Show in Toronto. I competed in the Mystery Cake Challange where three competitors were given 2 hours to decorate a cake not knowing what tools we were to be working with. It was very exciting...and nerve wracking! There was quite a large audience and judges sitting right in front of us. But after two hours I finished a black and white 4 tiered cake with red and black ribbon roses and ruffles. Not my best work but what can you expect in two hours! Anyway, it was enough to win! Yay!!!!

Wedding Bells 25th Anniversary

I made this cake for the Wedding Bells anniversary party. It was blush pink with sparkling chandelier drops and edible jewels and sugar anemone flowers. It was one of 25 cakes that created a cake wall. They were all fabulous! as was the party!

Winter Cake Tasting a success!!!

Yesterday Karen and I held our first group tasting and what a success! We had 13 brides and their entourages attend and taste 9 different wonderful cakes. It was great meeting them all and I look forward to designing each of their unique and beautiful cakes.
